We live, we laugh, we learn. Or not. Maybe we just keep falling into familiar patterns, continuing to put empty milk cartons back in the fridge.

As for me, I keep this journal to clog your friends' page and waste y'all's time.

I live in Mountain View, California, diligently going through my workaday exisitence while trying to have musical pursuits on the side. Although my finances make it tough, I want to ramp up the musical pursuits. What's life without something artistic/creative? Oh, and about that...

There was one day someone IM'd me to tell me: "I think you're extremely attractive and am wondering why some beautiful creative hasn't scooped you up."

I like that. Now that looks to be a typo where she meant to say "some beautiful creature"; nonetheless it's a lovely use of an adjective as a noun - sort of like saying, "You're such a primitive." (Which I am, but that's another story.)

I believe that all of us should strive to bring out the Beautiful Creative within. Let's proceed then, shall we?

(Thanks to laislabevita for the idea for links to recently-tackled books and movies.)

(Author Ann Roiphe) writes, "You can't go on just doing as you please, just following your star, just flashing your pretty wings about the universe." Oh really? Says who? Whether this is good motherly advice or good old-fashioned jealousy, this book can leave you more determined than ever to flash your pretty wings anywhere you damn well please.
